You're Not Alone

BHive Community, Grantham Prostate Cancer Support Group

A prostate cancer diagnosis affects more than the person receiving it. It touches partners, parents, siblings, friends and everyone who cares about them. Our group exists so that no one in Grantham and the surrounding area has to face that journey alone.

We are a friendly, welcoming, peer-led community where you can speak openly and confidentially about diagnosis, treatment, side effects and the everyday challenges that follow. Whether you are newly diagnosed, undergoing investigations, in active treatment, living with the long-term effects of prostate cancer, or supporting someone you love, you will find understanding from people who have walked a similar path.

Partners, family members and carers are welcome too, because prostate cancer can affect the whole family.

There is never any pressure to talk. Sometimes simply sitting with people who understand what you’re going through can make a difference. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

We are not a medical service and we do not give clinical advice. Where appropriate, we can help signpost people towards professional information and support.

What we offer is something equally important: human connection, shared experience, practical support and the reassurance of knowing you are not facing prostate cancer alone.

No judgement. No embarrassment. No one facing it alone.

A Safe Space to Connect

Prostate cancer support groups provide a safe, confidential space where you and your loved ones can connect with others who truly understand what you are going through. You can share as much or as little as you wish, ask questions without judgement, and find practical guidance from people who have been there themselves. There is no pressure to speak. Simply being in the room with others who get it can make a real difference.
