Our Founder's Story
Our Purpose
We meet on the second Saturday of each month to offer help, support, and shared experiences. Meetings are a chance to talk about treatment options and side effects, hear from guest medical speakers when available, and simply spend time with people who understand. Tea, coffee, and refreshments are always served, and there is never any pressure to speak if you would rather listen.
Who It's For
Our group is open and inclusive. No one is excluded.
- Anyone with prostate cancer, at any stage, whether newly diagnosed, in treatment, or living with long-term effects.
- Anyone undergoing treatment or preparing for treatment who wants peer support and practical insight.
- Partners, wives, husbands, mums, dads, siblings, and friends. No one is excluded.
- Anyone who cares about someone affected by prostate cancer and wants to understand and support them better.
Private Conversations
If you would like a more private conversation during a meeting, a breakout room is available. A dedicated counselling room is also available for one-to-one support when needed. Please speak to Rob on arrival if you would like to use either space.
Confidentiality & Trust
Everything shared within BHive Community, Grantham Prostate Cancer Support Group stays within the group. We ask all members to respect one another's privacy, stories, and experiences. No names, no details, and no personal information shared at our meetings will ever be disclosed outside the group without your explicit consent.
This applies equally to conversations in the main meeting room, the breakout room, and the counselling room. Your trust is the foundation of everything we do, and we take that responsibility seriously.
